Link-Up (Qld) has been recognised for its work supporting Stolen Generations survivors and descendants, taking home the Outstanding Indigenous Services Award at the 2026 Cairns and Regions Local Business Awards.

Board Chair Len Utz accepted the award on behalf of the organisation, acknowledging the contribution of staff across Queensland and giving special recognition to Link-Up (Qld)’s Cairns team.

“This recognition belongs to our entire team across Queensland, and I’d like to make special mention of our small but dedicated team based here in Cairns, whose work extends throughout much of central, north and far north Queensland,” Len said.

Len also thanked Link-Up (Qld)’s Board, partners, CEO Patricia Thompson AM and the communities who continue to place their trust in the organisation.
Most importantly, he dedicated the recognition to our clients.

“Thank you to our clients, Stolen Generations survivors and descendants whose strength and determination in the face of adversity inspire us to continue working towards a brighter future.”

Link-Up (Qld) was proud to be recognised alongside fellow finalists Fall Forward, First Nation Services, Indigenous Consumer Assistance Network and Mookai Rosie Bi-Bayan, and congratulates all nominees and award recipients from across the Cairns region.
