Kerry Sandow returns to Link-Up (Qld)!
Sometimes a familiar face is all you need.
Link-Up (Qld) is excited to announce the return of Kerry Sandow, who recommenced as a caseworker in March this year.
While she is excited to meet and get to know many more, some clients may remember her from her previous time with the organisation, ending in late 2024.
Kerry responds strongly to the work of Link-Up (Qld) and to the stories of Stolen Generations survivors and their descendants. Her dedication to our clients comes from shared experiences with her own family history and a passion for supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
“Stolen Generations and forced removals are part of my family line too,” Kerry shares, with cultural connections to Darambal and Mirning Country, and family roots in Cherbough and South Australia.
“That’s why I feel proud to be part of the work Link-Up (Qld) does.”
As a caseworker based out of Brisbane, Kerry supports our clients throughout their journey of reconnection with family, culture and country. She walks alongside them from beginning to end, assisting with family reunions, gravesite visits and back-to-country experiences. She will also spend time out engaging with community through outreach programs, building trust and strengthening relationships along the way.

Creating new connections and stories is what Kerry appreciates most about working at Link-Up (Qld).
“Seeing the outcomes and family reconnections makes the work deeply rewarding. It reminds me how important this work is for our communities,” she says.
Kerry notes that the quiet moments of connection in each gathering produce the lasting memories. She feels these moments deeply, as time to honour clients, past and present staff, and the land that carries their stories.
“The chance to know where you come from, understand your roots and have a sense of belonging is essential to the wellbeing of the spirit,” she says.
After spending some time away from Link-Up (Qld), Kerry is reinvigorated to support our clients on their healing journeys with experience, understanding and enthusiasm. We’re excited to have her on the team and looking forward to what’s ahead!
